Wells Lions raffle winner
WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions 52 Club raffle for Oct. 28 is Dale Smith of Escanaba, who won $100. This was week 13 of the raffle.
Events at Amvets
ESCANABA — Amvets Post 123 will host the band “Country Slingers” and hold its annual Halloween party on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
The Amvets Ladies Auxiliary 123 will host football bingo on Nov. 3. All proceeds are used to help the needy locally and the community at large.
Rapid Readers to meet
RAPID RIVER — “Madame Fourcade’s Secret War” by Lynne Olson is November’s discussion choice for the Rapid Readers. The meeting will take place Thursday, Nov.14 at 10 a.m. at Jack’s Restaurant in Rapid River.

Delta County Foster Grandparent Program
ESCANABA — The Delta County Foster Grandparent Program will have an in-service meeting held on Tueday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Escanaba Senior Center, 225 North 21st Street in Escanaba.
Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

Charity Ball drawing
ESCANABA — Members of the GFWC Escanaba Woman’s Club are collecting the tickets purchased for the 69th Annual Charity Ball to be held on Dec. 7 at the Terrace Bay Hotel.
This year, individuals who purchase their tickets by 5 p.m. on Nov. 1 will be placed in an early bird drawing for $500 sponsored by Skerbeck Family Entertainment. Tickets can be purchased at The Morrison Shop, Lisa Ann, Gust Asp, Trotter’s Floral or from any GFWC member.
Relic Riders to meet
RAPID RIVER — The Rapid River Relic Riders will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the clubhouse to discuss plans for the Rapid River Relics Snowmobile Show/Swap on Jan. 25, 2020 at the Rapid River Lions Club.

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks Auxiliary November meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Non-perishable food items will be collected for St. Vincent de Paul. Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner and meeting to follow at 7 p.m.

Christmas Bazaar set
TRENARY — The Trenary United Methodist Church will be hosting its Annual Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. There will be handmade items, Rada utensils, and baked goods. Lunch will be served.
Northern Vegans’ Thanksgiving potluck
NEGAUNEE — The Northern Vegans will be having their 13th Annual Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located on the corner of U.S. 41 West and Baldwin Avenue in Negaunee, on Thursday, Nov. 28. The dinner will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Guests are asked to bring a vegan dish to share — no meat, dairy, eggs or honey — or consider donating if they are unable to bring vegan food.
