Bizeau gets National Guard award
GLADSTONE — Sergeant First Class Brian J. Bizeau has been recognized as this year’s Michigan National Guard Director’s 54 for his exceptionally meritorious service while serving as a recruiter in the Michigan Army National Guard during production year 2019.
The Director’s Strength Maintenance Award Program’s (DSMAP) Director’s 54 Award is given annually to the top recruiter in each of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, and three U.S. territories, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The recipient then represents their state while competing for the national title.
Bizeau enlisted 27 new soldiers during the year, helping them secure part-time employment, college benefits and qualifications to prepare them for life.
In addition to being recognized as the D54, Bizeau was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. He works in Gladstone and Marquette and assists with the ROTC program at Northern Michigan University. Bizeau lives in Gladstone with his girlfriend Kara and kids Reece and Landen.
