The Menominee River Chorus ­prepares for 19th Annual Show

MENOMINEE — The Menominee River Chorus, under the direction of Ed Boehm, will present its 19th annual show, “The Doctor is In” Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at Blesch Auditorium in Menominee. The show is a musical comedy showcasing numerous amusing events that occur to the staff and patients of the fictitious Aurora Borealis Hospital located in Menominee.

Featured guest performances will be given by “The Border Project,” a men’s barbershop quartet with members from Milwaukee, Wis., Appleton, Wis. and New Richmond, Minn.; and the “4 Country Connection,” a men’s barbershop quartet from Marinette, Outagamie, Winnebago and Dodge counties.

Door prizes will be awarded during intermission. Tickets will be available at the door or may be purchased in advance at Jack’s Fresh Market in Menominee and Marinette, Benzer Pharmacy in Peshtigo, or from any chorus member.

The Menominee River Chorus is a group of women who love to sing four-part harmony barbershop style. They entertain for a variety of community and social events throughout the year and offer a yearly music scholarship to graduating seniors in Marinette and Menominee counties. The chorus meets every Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran, 1309 14th Ave., Menominee. New members and guests are always welcome.
