Nahma burner memorialized with float

Courtesy photo For many who live in and enjoy Nahma, it was a tragedy when the 120-year-old Nahma burner fell to the ground earlier this year. Doug and Sue Lalonde are avid Nahma campers and, along with their family, have enjoyed the view of the landmark from the shores of Bay de Noc where they camp every summer. The Lalondes and their family honored the landmark and brought another glimpse of it back to Nahma during the community’s Labor Day parade. The float took the first place prize. The Lalonde’s have decided to donate the burner replica to the Nahma community for others to enjoy. Above, at left, Sue and Doug Lalonde stand with their float.
