YIPSILANTI, Mich. -- Kimberly Ann Kang graduated from Eastern Michigan University on April 26 with a Bachelor of Music Education. She graduated cum laude and majored with an emphasis in instrumental K-12 music education.
During her time at EMU, Kimberly was the treasurer and vice president of the American String Teachers Association, EMU Collegiate Chapter, treasurer and social chair of the professional music fraternity Mu Phi Epsilon, Epsilon Lambda Chapter.
Kang also played with the EMU Symphony Orchestra and performed two solo recitals.
Kang's parents are Jackie and Peter Kang. Her grandmother is Susan (Baldwin) Jensen, and her step-grandfather is Mitchell Jensen. She is also the granddaughter of the late Jesse Baldwin, Frank Kang Sr. and Dorothy Kang.
