BARK RIVER — The first program in the Funday Sunday summer benefit concert series — now in its third year at Northern Sun Vineyard — supports Honor Flight programs and will take place June 17.

Marquette group U.P. Gumbo will present zydeco and New Orleans-style music. The concert will occur rain or shine.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Picnic lunches and snacks encouraged, but no carry-in alcoholic beverages are allowed.

Wine tastings will take place all afternoon with a free vineyard tour at 3 p.m. Tickets with wine tasting coupons are available in advance at a reduced rate at the winery and the Delta County Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are also available the day of the concert.

Northern Sun Vineyard is located south of Bark River. Follow Pure Michigan directional signs from U.S. 2 and vineyard signs along D Road (South Bark River Road).

Other summer concerts in the series include Genna and Jesse on July 15 and Kitty Donohoe on Aug. 19.
