Boy Scouts to hold Christmas party

ESCANABA — A Christmas party for the Boy Scouts Troop 411 will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Escanaba YMCA on Monday, Dec. 18. Christmas Cook Social and Veteran Craft Sale

ESCANABA — For holiday cheer, refreshments and veteran made crafts, visit the Christmas Cook Social and Veteran Craft Sale, Monday, Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held at the Escanaba Vet Center at 3500 Ludington Street Suite 110. Proceeds benefit the U.P. Honor Flight.

Rapid River Relic Riders meet Wednesday

RAPID RIVER — The Rapid River Relic Riders will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the ‘Clubhouse’ located at 10474 S. Main St. in Rapid River to discuss plans for the upcoming Rapid River Relic Riders Shown and Swap, which will take place on Jan. 27, 2018 at the Rapid River Lion’s Club.

Red Buck roundtable planned for Dec. 7

GLADSTONE — Red Buck Sub District roundtable meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Gladstone City Hall on Thursday, Dec. 7.

Klondike Derby Patch designs are due.

Jones Elementary hosts 2nd Annual Taco Night

GLADSTONE — Jones Elementary in Gladstone will be hosting their 2nd Annual Taco Night on Thursday, Dec. 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Jones Elementary cafeteria. This event is open to the public. Come and enjoy taco fixings, a beverage, and dessert. Monetary donations are requested at the door. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and tickets can be purchased for chances to win amazing themed baskets that our classes have put together, and wonderful product donations from U.P. businesses — which make great Christmas gifts! All proceeds benefit Jones PTC to help support student events, rewards, and field trips. We hope to see you there! Bring a friend!

Bake Sale at the Museum on Dec. 9

ESCANABA — From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, an array of baked goods–cookies, bread and pastries–as well as other homemade seasonal treats will be offered at the Delta County Historical Society’s annual Bake Sale at the Museum. The sale will take place in the multi-purpose room of the archives in the DCHS Beamier Museum, just east of the Sand Point Lighthouse in Ludington Park. Donations of food items for the sale are welcome beginning at 9 a.m.

Ornaments, lighthouse chocolates from Saykkly’s and other items that will make much appreciated stocking stuffers will be for sale at the museum desk.

Patrons and donors are invited to tour the museum without charge during sale hours and to enjoy the spectacular view of the bay from the multi-purpose room.

Proceeds support the maintenance of the lighthouse, museum and archives.

Bay de Noc Kennel Club meeting Dec. 14

ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Kennel Club will hold its next general meeting on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at the kennel club building at 6687 N.75 Dr. Escanaba, just north of the Wells Sports Complex, next to the baseball field. The public is welcome to attend.
