Community Project Day

Courtesy photo Students at North Central Junior/Senior High School recently participated in their annual Community Project Day. This day is traditionally the last day of school for seniors, and is a chance for all students in 7th-12th to give back to their local community. Students went to over 20 locations in the Hermansville/Powers area to complete tasks for local families and businesses. These tasks included: cleaning, painting, or raking, depending on the location’s needs. This annual day is completed with a cook-out lunch, and an afternoon of fun activities for all students. This event could not have been possible without receiving the Philanthropy Fund grant from the M&M Area Community Foundation this year. The money from the grant was used to purchase rakes, shovels, gloves, and other materials to complete the service tasks that were requested.
