SWANSON – Jacob Swanson of Escanaba and Jacqueline Besaw of Green Bay, Wis., welcomed a daughter, Melba May, at Aurora Hospital. Melba was delivered on Feb. 13 at 2:29. She weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Melba is the couple’s first child.

Lori and Keith Besaw of Green Bay and Melissa and Daniel Swanson of Escanaba are the baby’s grandparents.

WEST – Jameson “Jamie” and Stephanie West of Winston-Salem, N.C. are the parents of Landon James, born on Feb. 18. Landon weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces at birth. Grandparents are James and Barb West of Green Bay.

Great-grandparents are Bob and Joyce Heynssens of Gladstone.

BRITTON – Jameson Robert is the name chosen for the newborn son of Staff Sgt. Jacob and Brandy Britton of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Jameson was delivered at Tripler Medical Hospital on Feb. 7 at 9:41 a.m. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long at birth.

Jameson joins his sibling, Kayson, at home.

Brian and Theresa Britton of Cornell are the baby’s grandparents.

HABERSTICH – Adam Haberstich and Corinne Powers of Gladstone welcomed their first child, a son, on Jan. 6 at 8:27 p.m. Oliver Ostlund weighed 9 pounds, 0.6 ounces and measured 20.5 inches in length when delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital.

Maternal grandparents are Kimberly Powers of Belding, Mich., and Larry Powers of Wells. Paternal grandparents are Erik Haberstich of Rapid River and Patricia Schmitendorf of Hampshire, Ill.

Oliver’s great-grandparents are Gerald and Barbara Gibson of Ionia, Mich.

POVICH – Josiah and Sarah Povich of Bark River welcomed their first born at St. Francis Hospital on Jan. 25 at 5:05 p.m. The baby boy, Brayden Mark, weighed 7 pounds, 12.2 ounces and was 20 inches long.

The mother is the former Sarah Robinson.

Daniel and Cynthia Robinson of Bark River, and Mark and Carol Povich also of Bark River, are Brayden’s grandparents.

Great-grandparents are Julia Povich of Saginaw, Barbara Robinson of Fowlerville, and Marie Curtis of Tampa Fla.

MURRAY – Tim Jr. and Kerri Murray of Wilson welcomed their first child, a girl, Piper Weber, born on Dec. 22 at 6:49 p.m. (CST) at Dickinson County Hospital. The infant weighed 7 pounds and measured 18 3/4 inches in length.

The mother’s maiden name is Kerri Arnold.

Maternal grandparents are Jerry and Lori Arnold of Carney. Paternal grandparents are Tim Murray Sr. of Gladstone, and Tina DeGrave of Beaver Dam, Wis.

Doug and Dorothy Arnold of Powers, Jerome and Jeanie Weber of Rozellville, Wis., Tom and Judy DeGrave of Wilson, and Larry and Joan Murray of Bark River are Piper’s great-grandparents.

NELSON – Brad and Christine (Carlson) Nelson of Escanaba, welcomed a baby girl, born on Jan. 20. Kelsey Jean weighed in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

Kelsey joins sisters, Lauren and Lily, at home.

ANDERSON – The newborn daughter of Brad and Ashley (Bloniarz) Anderson of Bark River has been named Collyns AnnMarie. Delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital on Jan. 14 at 8:36 a.m., the baby weighed in at 11 pounds, 7.7 ounces, and measured 19.5 inches long.

Collyns joins big brother, Sawyer, in the family.

Dean and Cindy Bloniarz of Perronville are the maternal grandparents. Paternal grandparents are Mike and Sandy Anderson and Mary and Ron Phillips, all of Bark River.

MENARD – Escanaba residents, Tim and Miranda (Baker) Menard, welcomed a son, Bronson John, Feb. 2 at 5:18 a.m. Bronson weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 20 inches long when delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital.

He joins brother, Parker, at home.

The baby’s grandparents are Mike and Mary Baker and Dave and Amy Menard, all of Escanaba.

Great-grandparents are Pat Menard and Max Whitney and Norm Wood, all of Escanaba.

PARLATO – Sophia Briana is the name chosen for the newborn daughter of Brian and Alicia (Tebear) Parlato of Gladstone. Delivered at Marquette General Hospital at 9:48 a.m. on Dec. 28, the infant weighed 9 pounds, 8.6 ounces, and was 22 inches long.

Sophia joins brother, Dominic, and sisters, Emma and Gabriella, at home.

Robert and Barbara Tebear of Escanaba are the baby’s maternal grandparents. Paternal grandparents are Ron and Patty Parlato of Wells, and Tom and Mary Ross of Henderson, Nev.

ROBERTS – Daniel Roberts and Patricia Maggart of Escanaba are the parents of a baby boy, born on Feb. 9 at 2:50 p.m. Daniel John III was delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital weighing 9 pounds, 9.9 ounces, and 20 inches long.

Daniel is the couple’s first child.

Bob and Lisa Plough of Escanaba and Mike Maggart of Fenton are the baby’s maternal grandparents. Sue Roberts of Escanaba and the late Daniel Roberts are the paternal grandparents.

SAUNDERS – Terry and Ellysha (Douck) Saunders of Manhattan, Kan., welcomed their third child, a baby boy, on Dec. 19 at 7:42 a.m. Kaleb James weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long when he was delivered at Irwin Army Community Hospital.

Kaleb joins older brother, Brady, and sister, Kaelynn, at home.

Trisha and Mark Backlund and Terry and Hildie Saunders, all of Escanaba, and Jeff Douck of Appleton, Wis., are the grandparents.

WILLIAMSON – Liam Bradley, newborn son of Shawn and Amy Williamson of Escanaba, was delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital on Jan. 28 at 2:10 p.m. He weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 19 inches long at birth.

The mother is the former Amy Dowd.

Tom and Rose Dowd Sr. of Escanaba and Richard and Rose Williamson of Rapid River are Liam’s grandparents.

KOFFLER – Menasha, Wis. residents, Dax Koffler and Amy Ness, welcomed a baby boy, born at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton on Jan. 5. Kane Von Koffler weighed in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

SPREITZER – Robert and Rebecca (LaMarche) Spreitzer of Gladstone are the parents of a newborn daughter, Edy Louise. Edy was delivered at OSF St. Francis Hospital on Jan. 11 at 8:27 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

Edy joins a sister at home.

Her grandparents are Don and Cindy LaMarche of Cornell and Dan and Donna Spreitzer of Gladstone.

Joyce Viau of Escanaba is Edy’s great-grandmother.

YAMASHITA – Jason and Angela (Chouinard) Yamashita of Elk Grove Village, Ill., welcomed a baby girl, Mayumi Pamelina. The infant was born Jan. 24 at 3:40 p.m., weighing 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long.

Mayumi joins her big sister, Sophia, at home.

Ray and Pam Chouinard of Gladstone, and Hiroshi and Kazuko Yamashita of Mount Prospect, Ill., are the baby’s grandparents.

AYOTTE – Newborn Kamryn Marie was delivered at Marquette General Hospital on Nov. 13 at 9:55 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 12.5 ounces, and was 18.5 inches long. Kamryn is the third child of Scott and Amy (Krause) Ayotte of Ishpeming.

She joins two big brothers, Logan, 4, and Carson, 2, at home.

Maternal grandparents are Tom and Kerri Krause of Hyde. Paternal grandparents are Pam and Pete Gadzinski of Ishpeming and Danny Ayotte of Negaunee.

ST. JOHN – Ryan and Jessica St. John of Greenville, Wis., welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Dec, 27. Kenzie Raegan weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 17.5 inches long at birth.

Pete and Patti Stropich of Rapid River, and Terry and Marilyn St. John of Spalding are Kenzie’s grandparents.

The baby’s great-grandparents are Rosalie Alworden of Kipling, Arlene Stropich of Escanaba, and Eileen Engstrom of Marquette.

AXUS – Maxime Alan is the name chosen for the newborn son of Guillaume and Anne (Mineau) Axus of Chalfont St. Giles, England. The infant weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces when he was delivered at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on Nov. 29.

He joins sisters, Charlotte and Madeleine, at home.

The grandparents are Paula and Bill Mineau of Gladstone, and Luce and Alain Axus of Chamonix, France.

Jean and Carlton Mineau of Gladstone are the baby’s great-grandparents.

POTOKAR – Tye and Nicole (Bintner) Potokar of Sheboygan Falls, Wis., are the parents of a baby girl, their third daughter, born at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center on Dec. 28 at 8:06 a.m. Aubrey Margaret weighed 9 pounds, 3.8 ounces, and was 22 inches long at birth.

Aubrey joins brother, Alec Bintner, and sisters, Abigail and Ava, at home.

Maternal grandparents are Bruce and Cindy Bintner of Escanaba. Paternal grandparents are the late Marland and Donna Potokar.

Robert and Maureen Bintner of Escanaba are the baby’s great-grandparents.

TOWNS – Jonathan K. Towns and Diana L. Koehler are the parents of a son, Eli Donald Towns, born Oct. 8 at 9:21 a.m. in Sheboygan, Wis. The infant weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Eli’s paternal grandparents are Donald M. and Cheryl L. Towns of Escanaba. Maternal grandparents are Mary Ann E. Eckstein from Cassville, Wis., and Michael J Koehler from Oakridge, Tenn.

The baby’s great-grandparents are Leona and Jerry Becvar of Rapid River, John and Karol Berhow of Bark River, and Verdi Belle Bohringer.

Oakley joins her brothers, Rylan and Koda, at home.

Medley (Jeff Bichler) Hunter of Bark River, Louie (Lynn Veraghen) Anderson of Gladstone, Sandy and Terry Wanic of Escanaba, and Steve and Kim Gartland of Hyde are the baby’s grandparents.

BAUN – Gladstone residents, Ryan and Sonya (Haas) Baun, welcomed a baby boy born at Marquette General Hospital on Jan. 22 at 12:34 a.m. Landon Scott weighed in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long.

Frank and Cindy Haas of Rock, and Richard Baun and Vickie (Bill) Bates of Muskegon are Landon’s grandparents.

Great-grandparents are Judy Hadel of Wells, Nick and Betty of Sheboygan, Wis., and David and Pat Baun, and Amelia Huntley, all of Muskegon.

Isaiah Robert was delivered at 3:11 p.m., weighing 5 pounds, 12 ounces, and measuring 19 inches in length. His sister, Brezlin Avashti, weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 17.5 inches long when she was delivered at 3:12 p.m.

The newborns join big brother, Brian, at home.
