Tufnell - Oslund

ESCANABA — Steve and Nancy Tufnell, of Wells, and Carl Oslund and Michele Alexander, both of Escanaba, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Laurie Tufnell and Derk Oslund.

Laurie is a 1996 graduate of Escanaba High School and a 2000 graduate of Western Michigan University. She recently graduated with degree in elementary education and is working as a kindergarten teacher with the Nah Tah Wahsh PSA School in Wilson.

Derk is a 1993 graduate of Escanaba High School and a State Tech graduate of 1996, where he completed a degree in wood finishing. He works for the Escanaba County Club and is a grounds crewman.

The couple reside in Escanaba and will be married on Dec. 10, 2022, in Escanaba
