MARQUETTE — Al and Kileen Laase of Grand Junction, Colo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Eden Laase, to Bryce Derouin, son of Joe and Sandy Derouin of Bark River.

Eden graduated from Fruita Monument High School in Grand Junctio, Colo., and graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. Eden is employed at Boomerang Retro and Relics in Marquette.

The groom-to-be, Bryce, graduated from Bark River Harris High School and from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Mich., and is employed at UPHS Marquette. Also Bryce and Eden are co-founder and sports writers for “theupbeatsports.com”.

An Aug. 31, 2019, wedding celebration will take place in Bark River.
