HYDE – Brad and Cindy Bender of north Hyde announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Bender, to Jessse Traub, son of Jim and the late Pari Traub of Nashville, Tenn.

The couple met at Michigan State University, where Rebecca is pursuing her master’s in civil engineering, while working as a conservation engineer for the USDA.

Jesse recently completed his doctorate in plant science.

The couple are planning a wedding in Jackson, Mich. on July 2.
