GLADSTONE – Cynthia Kay Beauchamp and Jamie Scott LaFave of Gladstone announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a 1986 graduate of Ishpeming High School and graduated in 1987 with a degree in cosmetology from the School of Technology and Applied Science at Northern Michigan University. Cynthia is currently employed as an overnight sales associate at Wal-Mart in Escanaba. She is the daughter of Bill and Judy Frailing of Ishpeming.

Jamie is a 1994 graduate of Escanaba Senior High School. He, too, is employed at Wal-Mart as an overnight maintenance associate. Gary and Pam LaFave of Escanaba are his parents.

Cynthia and Jamie will exchange wedding vows during an Aug. 29 wedding ceremony in Gladstone.
