Luke Rivard

ESCANABA — Meet Luke Rivard, the flute player who’s in his first year with the Escanaba City Band. Rivard is a fan of Francis Poulenc and Igor Stravinsky, bringing a touch of their influence to his playing.

By day, Rivard works as a teller at First Bank, but his evenings are filled with music and camaraderie. His favorite part of being in the City Band is working together with everyone toward a musical goal.

Outside of the band, Rivard enjoys baking and composing music. The band is excited to have Rivard’s talent and passion in the band.
