Richard and Lenore Hanson

GLADSTONE — Richard and Lenore Hanson recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.

The childhood sweethearts were married on March 27, 1954. Rev. Pederson officiated the ceremony at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. The best man was Gordon Pederson, and the maid of honor was Helen (Olson) Tousignant. Attendants included Bill and Betty Hanson; Bobby Olson and Elinore (Hanson) Sekulich; flower girl, Darlene (Anderson) Jensen; and ring bearer, Dick Anderson.

Dinner was served at the Rapid River Legion Hall, and then they danced all night at the Alton Hall in Ensign.

They celebrated in Wisconsin with their four children and their spouses, nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
