CORNELL — Chuck and Emily Moreau recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding day.

Chuck and the former Emily Vermote were united in Holy Matrimony at St Joseph’s Church in Perkins on Aug. 25, 1973. To commemorate the special occasion a Holy Blessing was celebrated for the couple at Holy Family Church in Flat Rock on Aug. 25, 2023.

Also, in celebration, the Moreau’s traveled to San Antonio, Texas in March. They enjoyed warm weather and lots of sightseeing including the Alamo, Market Square, the beautiful San Fernando Cathedral and the famous River Walk.

Chuck and Emily live in Cornell and have two sons and five grandchildren. They enjoy being retired together, camping, relaxing at home with family and friends — especially the grandkids.

They are both so thankful for the many blessings and happy times shared and look forward to more in the years to come.
