Cindy and Peter Brock

BROCK — The children of Peter and Cynthia (Safford) Brock happily announce their parents’ golden anniversary on July 18, 2020. Pete and Cindy were married at the Rapid River Congregational Church by the Reverend Charles Hazard. Fifty years together have blessed them with three daughters, Amy (Gary) Bridges of Discovery Bay, Calif., Greta Brock of Boyne City, Mich., and Liz (Darryl) Hansen of Gladstone, Mich.; 13 grandchildren, Simeon, Derek and Braden Smith, Jacob (Megan), Kyle, Abigail, Anna, Sarah, Maria, Olivia, Jonathan, and Josiah Hansen and one great-grandchild on the way. Pete is a retired educator who worked at Holy Name, Rapid River, Mid Peninsula, Gladstone, and Hillman Schools. Cindy is a retired home economist with Michigan State University who also taught at Gladstone High School in her early career. Pete and Cindy enjoy visiting family all over the United States, spending time in their winter home in Zephyrhills, Fla., the Covenant Church Family in Gladstone, Mich., and participating in various community groups.

The family celebrated with an across-the-miles card shower to ring in their Golden Year.
