Irene and Romeo Groleau

WILSON — Romeo and Irene Groleau, of Wilson, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on April 12. Romeo and Irene were married April 12, 1953 at the bride’s parents’ home. They resided in Wilson through most of their married life.

They would travel with Romeo’s work in the early years and also raised their one daughter and three sons. Irene was a homemaker, and Romeo did sheet metal work and used his trade for his employers.

Romeo was in the Air Force and worked as a mechanic on the airplanes. He is a very talented man.

They enjoy spending time with their grand- and great-grandchildren.
