Blade's Ice Report As of Dec. 15, 2025 there are no measurements less than six inches north of the narrows by Hunter's Point in Stonington to Saunder's Point in Gladstone. Bay between Gladstone and Escanaba starting to freeze but not safe. Ludington Park by Band Shell south of the bridge has lots of people fishing there, and Escanaba River by west Gladstone bridge dam number three should be safe. Bark River-Harris cashed in on just enough of those in the end to hang on for a 45-40 triumph over the Escanaba Eskymos.
