Bay women victorious men fall in defeat

ESCANABA — A balanced scoring attack helped the Bay College women roll to a 113-48 basketball triumph over Montcalm Community College here Saturday. The Bay men weren’t so fortunate as they dropped a 71-54 decision to the Centurions. Bay’s women scored six in double digits and turned the ball over just nine times. “We wanted them to come out and play well,” Norse coach James Fassett said. “This sets a tone for the rest of the conference (MCCAA North) schedule.” They did just that, racing to a 32-8 lead after the first quarter.
