EDITOR: I’m writing in response to your January 23 article, “Airport’s Past and Future Surfaces for County Board,” to rebut Andrea Nummilien’s baseless claim, made during the January 21 meeting of the Delta County Board of Commissioners (CBOC), that I committed a “federal security breach” by permitting Attorney Scott Graham access to sensitive security information (SSI) prior to him obtaining the proper clearance. EDITOR: Donald J. Trump is now in office. I have supported him in the past and will continue to do so unless he makes some boneheaded move like buying Greenland and making it a state. Greenland? Cmon man! Why would you want to waste money on another frozen wasteland (remember Alaska) like that or Canada. Michigan’s egg law

EDITOR: I just read “McBroom Leaves Out Key Details” (Jan 15) and I have a few thoughts on the subject. The first thing that jumps out at me is that Nancy Warren states “Michigan’s egg law is needed”. Later she makes a claim that the market is already going in the free direction. If the market is already taking care of the issue, why put another government mandate in place? As a consumer, I feel very strongly that the governments job is limited to making sure an egg is safe for human consumption, not limiting the type of egg I may purchase or mandating what kind of egg I ...

EDITOR: In response to January 11-12 “Inflation looms over Escanaba’s budget”. Recently our utilities were raised and raised again. We had to use less heat (turned down to get on budget plan) less water and frequent “Vinnies Boutique” for clothes, food, Budget Dollar has bargains and Culvers kids menu - even for wrinkled kids is an occasional treat. EDITOR: With Bob Randstatler’s and Robyn Morrison’s resignations as the airport management team, the Commissioners of Delta County, exception being Commissioner Vanginhoven, have once again failed the aviation and traveling community of this county. Current and previous commissioners always viewed the airport as an afterthought. They want(ed) it to provide large airport services on a meager budget.
