ESCANABA — The Gladstone boys and Escanaba girls captured top honors in the Escanaba Golf Invitational Thursday at Escanaba Country Club.

Gladstone took first place in the boys tournament with a team score of 311 while Escanaba finished in the runner up spot with 321. West Iron County rounded out the podium with a 332 followed by Marquette with 345, Negaunee with 387 and Munising with 492. Menominee competed but didn’t score.

Escanaba took first place on the girls side with a team score of 403 followed by Menominee with 416, Munising with 476, Negaunee with 505, West Iron County with 522 and Marquette, who didn’t score.

Taking first overall on the boys side was Gladstone’s Rudy Peterson who shot a 72 for the round. Escanaba’s Paxton Johnson took the girls individual title with a 77.
