SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- Jared Daniel Martin, 28, of Sheboygan, Wis., passed away on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Jared was born on Jan. 5, 1989, in Manistique, the son of Jay and Jan (Brawner) Martin.
Jared married the love of his life, Heather Lynn Herison, on Sept. 19, 2014.
Jared was a graduate of Manistique High School class of 2007. He continued his education and earned a bachelors degree from Lakeland College in 2011. He served as president of the Mu Lambda Sigma fraternity. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manistique.
He was employed as a team leader in his cell by Rockline Industries in Sheboygan, Wis.
Jared enjoyed Karaoke, target practice with his weapons, riding his motorcycle with Heather, and playing football for Lakeland College and the Sheboygan County Rebels (Jared was also known as "Manbeast" #54). Many have described him as a "Gentle Giant." In addition to his love for his wife and his family, he knew and loved the Lord Jesus Christ and desired that others would know Him, too.
Jared is survived by his wife, Heather Martin; his parents, Jay and Jan Martin of Manistique; sister, Jacole (Mike) Lane and their children Noelle and Warren of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; mother- and father-in-law, Jerry and Laura Herison of Sheboygan, Wis.; sister-in-law Sarah (Israel) Alcala and their children Halie, Alexandra, Adrian, and Vanessa; and several aunts and uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Daniel D. Martin, and grandparents Bill and Lois Martin and Charles and Ruby Brawner.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 South 12th St. Sheboygan, WI 53081. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Southside Alliance Church, 4321 Co Rd A, Sheboygan, WI 53081.
Funeral service will be held at the church 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Michael Gallipeau officiating. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Sheboygan.
