Left photo, firefighters from the Ford River Township Volunteer Fire Department check for hot spots after extinguishing a vehicle fire at a residence on M-35, south of Ford River late Tuesday morning. The owner had started the Dodge pickup and it caught fire. The vehicle was in flames when firefighters arrived and quickly put out the blaze. The truck was a total loss. No injuries were reported
