BraveBots take home awards

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. — The Gladstone BraveBots recently competed at a tournament at Lake Superior State University. The team finished the qualification round 11-1 and was ranked second overall.

In the finals, the team was selected to play in an alliance with the number one ranked Ontonagon Gladiators and also played with Huskies Robotics from Atlanta, Mich. The alliance won all six of its matches in the finals and achieved the high score of the tournament in its final match.

The BraveBots also won the Autonomous Award sponsored by Ford. The team was ranked 8th in the state and was on its way to Saginaw Valley State University for the State Finals. Other local teams that made it to the state competition include teams from Escanaba, Bark River, Mid Pen, Stephenson, Carney, and Munising.
