GLADSTONE -- Joanna Wilbee-Amis was awarded a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) on Sept. 1, 2017.
Through the online MBA program with SNHU, Wilbee-Amis was able to further her knowledge in the foundational aspects of business as well as apply her twenty plus years of experience in the field of marketing to her studies, successfully completing the program with a 3.96 GPA. In addition, beyond meeting the core MBA requirements, an additional 18 credit hours in marketing coursework helped her complete a concentration in social media marketing as well as earn a graduate certificate in marketing.
For the past 14 years, Wilbee-Amis has provided marketing consultation services for a variety of clients throughout Upper Michigan and the United States. Prior to starting her business, HobNob Communications, she spent seven years in Chicago, Ill. serving as a public relations director for Feld Entertainment, the world's leading producer of live family entertainment and parent company of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney On Ice, Monster Jam and other touring productions. In addition, she has taught in the business division at Bay College as an adjunct instructor since 2012, having received the Outstanding Educator Part-Time Faculty Award in May 2017.
Wilbee-Amis earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Western Michigan University in 1994 and graduated from Escanaba Area High School in 1990. Joanna resides in Gladstone with her husband Chris, and two sons. She is the daughter of Dennis and Carolyn Wilbee of Rapid River, formerly of Escanaba.
