Gold Medal Classic scheduled for April after one-year hiatus

HERMANSVILLE — After a one-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the annual Gold Medal Classic independent basketball tournament, at the Meyer Township Community Club in Hermansville, will be held April 14-18.

The divisions to play in this year, have been reduced to men’s A, B, C and Open/E. There will also be a woman’s division.

Woman’s and Class A will be 17-18 with a two-game guarantee for both Divisions. Men’s E/Open players cannot play in Class A.

A Junior High Division will be held prior to the adult divisions begin, April 10-11th. No travel teams will be allowed in the Junior High division.

If there is enough interest we will have a 7th grade and 8th-grade division for boys and girls.

“Let’s Play Ball!” said Tournament manager Bryan Maule.

Maule can be reached at (906) 295-0153. Further information including entry cost and entry deadline will be published when it becomes available.
