Eskymos and Braves earn 12 spots for GNC football

ESCANABA — Escanaba and Gladstone football combined to notch 12 places on the Great North Conference All-Conference list that was recently decided on by coaches.

Offensively, Escanaba senior wideouts Bryant Maki and Tyler Lawson were selected in the ends category. Gladstone senior wide receiver Cam Ballard joined them.

On the offensive line, Esky senior Brett Schlenvogt was honored as well as Braves’ senior Peter Noblet.

Finishing off the offensive honors were Menominee running back Aidan Bellisle and offensive linemen Carter Berger and Cooper Conway; Kingford’s Zach Person and Elliot Johnson; and Marquette’s Austin Ridl and Brady Wright.

At linebacker, Gladstone seniors Ryan Polley and Blake Servant made the cut as did Eskymos’ senior Ryan Randall.

The two also had a pair selected at defensive end: Braves’ junior Hunter Potier and Esky senior Riley Lamb.

Escanaba senior Collin Arnt was also named among the defensive backs.

Senior Kahler Geyer of Escanaba was picked for defensive lineman honors.

Rounding out the defense was Menominee’s Kade Lesperance and Jon Spegal along with Marquette’s Desmond Mullen, Ty Lotterman and Wright. Kingsford topped the defense with four selections: Nolan LaVarnway, Ben Rumpf, Carter Kreski and Lucas Tappy.

On special teams, Marquette’s Connor Johnson and Desmond Mullen, Kingsford’s Diego Przeslakowski and Caleb Boone, and Menominee’s Kaden Calcari were honored.

Escanaba seniors Anthony Seymor and Carter Hudson along with junior Tristen McGuire received an honorable mention.

Receiving a mention for Gladstone was senior Joe Borman and juniors Cam Kelly and Brett Boudreau.

Other honorable mentions were Marquette’s Gideon Bell, Dustin Lohfink, Jacob Schlemm, Owen Beauchamp, David Eberhard and Ethan Richards. Hunter Bilgreen and Brody Kop received mentions for Kingsford along with Joe Haire and Kohl Mead for Menominee.
