Road race Feb. 23

ESCANABA — The 36th Annual Escanaba Slip-Sliding-Away five-mile run takes place Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.

Registration begins at noon near the front entrance (facing M-35) of the high school.

Entry fee is $3 in advance or $5 on race day.

C-N grid fundraiser

CARNEY — The Fifth Annual Carney-Nadeau football fundraiser takes place Feb. 1 from 4-8 p.m. CST at American Legion Post 487.

Tickets, which cost $15, can be purchased from the players, at the school or at the door. There will be prize drawings. Extra meal tickets will be available at the door.

Cage tournament

NORWAY — The 13th Annual Don Hill Memorial Scholarship adult basketball tournament takes place Feb. 29 and March 1 at Norway High School.

Entry fee is $120 for the men’s gold and silver and women’s division and $100 for the men’s bronze divisions.

Teams in the gold, silver and women’s divisions are guaranteed two games. The bronze division is single-elimination. Rosters are required.

Entry deadline is Feb. 23 at noon (CST).
