Norse women fall

PORT HURON — The Bay College women had their five-game winning streak snapped by St. Clair Community College’s three-headed monster in a 59-55 basketball defeat here Friday.

The Norse (7-2) led 29-24 at the half, but couldn’t overcome 30 turnovers as the Skippers scored 21 points in the third quarter and then sealed the game in the fourth.

Keishawna McGruder led the Skippers (3-5) with a game-high 27 points.

Taylor Hunter and Holly Wardynski led the Norse with 10 points each.

The Norse take on Mid-Michigan Community College today at 11 a.m. back in Port Huron.
