YMCA soccer clinic

WELLS — The YMCA will be holding an indoor soccer clinic Dec. 21 at the Hannahville Ice and Turf Complex for kids ages 6 to 12.

The clinic will run for three hours, starting at noon and ending at 3. The clinic will teach kids basic fundamentals needed to play the game.

“Along with establishing the importance of teamwork in game-like settings, many of the drills will help the kids strengthen their individual skills as well,” stated Sara Beauchamp, YMCA’s Youth Soccer Coordinator. “This clinic is designed to have a small class size so that we can maximize the amount of reps each kid has in our drills. Every child who attends the clinic will receive a soccer-themed gift at the end as a ‘thank you’ for coming.”

All players must wear long pants and carry in a clean pair of shoes to wear into the turf.

Cost is $26 for members and $52 for the general public. Anyone interested can sign up at nlyymca.com or through the front desk by calling (789-0005).

For questions, contact Youth Sports Coordinator Boston Hood (789-0202).
