Bay women roll again

PALATINE, Ill. — Trisha McGuire scored a career-high 17 points and four Norse players scored in double figures as the Bay College women’s basketball team rolled to its fourth straight victory with a 91-19 road win over Harper Community College Saturday.

The Norse led 24-3 at the end of the first quarter and 49-10 at halftime.

“I thought our players did a great job of staying focused for 40 minutes,” Norse coach Rob Robinson. “It allowed us to work on a few things we need to clean up heading into this week.”

Kelsea Ackerman hit three triples and finished with 13 points, while Brooke Dalgord added 12 and Haley Trudell chipped in with 11.

Emma Woke led the Hawks (0-5) with seven points.

The Norse (6-1) host Alpena Community College tonight at 5:30.
