WILSON — The first Island Resort Intercollegiate golf tournament will be held Sept. 1-2 at Sage Run Golf Club.

Volunteers are needed to help in a variety of areas at the tournament, similar to the way they assisted at the Symetra Tour women’s golf tournaments. Interested volunteers should contact the Delta County Chamber of Commerce (786-2192).

A Junior Golf Forum will also be part of the 10-team tournament. It will be held Aug. 31 from 9-10 a.m. at Sage Run. It is designed for junior golfers and parents to learn about college golf and talk to a panel of college coaches and current/former players.
