Area golfers win Bud Malloy scramble

MANISTIQUE — The 37th annual Bud Malloy four-man scramble golf tournament was held last weekend at Indian Lake Golf Club in Manistique. The course hosted 288 golfers from around the Midwest for the two-day event.

On Saturday, the Delta County team of Dave Harris, Nick Aird, Jeff McCall and Scott Lancour fired an 18-under par 54 to take a 4-shot lead into the final round Sunday, which proved to be insurmountable as they held on to win with a score of 114, six shots better than the runners-up.

There was a three-way tie for second at 120, which was counted back and second place was awarded to Lee Warren, Dan Schumer, Dan Moulton and Jimmy Daniels of Luce County.
