BMX open house

MARQUETTE — Marquette BMX, the Upper Peninsula’s only USA BMX sanctioned race track, is holding an open house Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The track is located at 910 Hawley St., Marquette, inside the Kaufman Sports Complex.

No racing will take place, but interested cyclists of all ages and skill levels and their families are welcome to see the facility and ask questions about this Olympic sport. Parents of children between age 2 and 5 are also invited to learn about Strider racing, a special class that teaches balance and coordination before children transition to pedal bikes.
