Miller joins Big Bay’s

1,000-point club

ESCANABA — Kevin Miller has been added to the Big Bay de Noc High School 1,000-point career scoring club.

Based on research of scoring charts maintained by retired Daily Press sports editor Dennis Grall, Miller finished his career in 1977 with 1,002 points.

Two years ago the school honored all the players who hit that scoring plateau, but Miller was not included among that group. Grall, out of retirement at the time, took a picture of Big Bay players who attended that basketball game but Miller had been left off the list compiled by Big Bay.

Miller played one season at Bay College before that program was terminated after the 1977-78 season.
