Teammate Adrianna Getzloff had a runner-up finish in the girls 11-12 age division 100 backstroke with a new team record of 1:02.74. She also had a fourth-place in the 100 individual medley and set another team record in 50 free in 26.03.

The boys 8-and-under relay team of Bobby Micheau, Peter Hook, Jake Lanaville and Ben Olson finished sixth in medley relay and fifth in free relay. Olson was third in 50 butterfly and fourth in 50 back.

Nate Lanaville finished fifth in the boys 11-12 division 50 free and 500 free. Ava Getzloff placed ninth in the girls 11-12 division 50 back, and Alexis Olson set a personal best time, finishing 14th in the girls 9-10 division 100 free.

“We had some great swims this weekend. Little Escanaba has a state champion in the 100 free (Neumeier) and two runners-up,” coach Scott Dykema said.

“I’m so proud of these kids. I also want to recognize swimmers who swam fast enough this weekend to already qualify for next year’s state meet.

“Those swimmers are Anna Rouleau, Adrianna Getzloff, Esther Oswald, and Nate Lanaville. Congratulations to them!”

The state meet concludes the regular season for NLY. NLY will resume practice during the summer. If you wish to inquire more about summer swim, please call the YMCA (789-0005).
