EDEN — The Superior Central girls’ basketball team lost to Munising 66-23 here Wednesday.

The Cougars were within striking distance after the first quarter, as Willow Pasanen hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to pull within two at 13-11. But the Mustangs outscored the Cougars by 35 in the second and third quarters to pull away.

Jada Johnson led the Cougars (0-2) with nine points and four rebounds.

SC hosts Rapid River tonight.
