Slow start throttles RocketsRAPID RIVER — A slow start hampered the Rapid River Rockets Monday night in a 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 25-14) volleyball loss to the Stephenson Eagles. “We didn’t start hitting right away,” said Rockets’ coach Kristy Kerstner. “The second set was a lot better. Cassidy Berg and Addi Christoff recorded 16 digs each and Kristin Goodacre added 10. Emily Thibault had seven kills and Gabby MOss had seven kills and five blocks. Ellie Moberg had nine digs. The Rockets, who dropped the jayvee match 2-0, host Norway tonight.
