HYDE — Anna Larson led the Highland Golf Club women’s league with 42 Wednesday, Karen Ettenhoffer and Rachel Latta had 44, Anne Madalinski 45, Lori Johnson 46, Deb Hirn 48 and Carol Terres, Candy Swetkis, Tina Sanford and Jayne Mackowiak 49.

Bowling notice

ESCANABA — The Thursday Morning Delights bowling league will begin Sept. 6, not Sept. 5 as indicated in Thursday’s Daily Press, with a meeting at 10 a.m. followed by bowling at Bowl-A-Rama Lanes. There are numerous openings for individuals and teams. For details, contact Millie Cummings (786-8668).

ESCANABA — Jasmine Clark plays at No. 1 doubles for the Escanaba High School tennis team, not Jasmine Cox as reported in the Daily Press story Thursday. Her name was correct in the summary.

YMCA hosts race

ESCANABA — The Northern Lights YMCA – Delta Center will host the Harvest Moon 5K Run/Walk Oct. 26. The race will begin at 8 p.m. with the course starting and ending at the YMCA.

Cost of the race is $25 per participant on or before Oct. 12 that will guarantee a long sleeve race shirt and $35 until 10 p.m. Oct. 22 with no guarantee of a long sleeve race shirt.

Participants will receive glow accessories, a long-sleeved t-shirt and a goodie bag. Following the race there will be an awards ceremony with refreshments.

Online registration is available at www.nlymca.com. To register for the run/walk, or obtain information to become a volunteer on the course, call the YMCA (789-0005) or visit the Y. For questions, call Amy Fudala, Race Director.

Irish Oaks men

GLADSTONE — Tim Shea and Mark Weber shot 1-under-par 35 in the Irish Oaks Golf Course men’s league Wednesday. Bryan Burak had 36, Brad Peterson 37, Matt Romps, James Smith and Charlie Stafford 38 and Fred Breitzman, Blake Cowen, Don Cousineau and Gus Fillman 39.
