Bark River-Harris High School students Hailey Strahl and Brooke Mathias chose as their Senior Project to conduct a fundraiser on July 4 to benefit Tri-County Safe Harbor. They collected over $1,100 to purchase much needed supplies, taxi vouchers, and gift cards for the shelter. Safe Harbor provides services to victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, or Stalking. They have an emergency shelter for women and children located in Escanaba and outreach offices located in Menominee and Manistique. If you or someone you know needs help, call the Safe Harbor crisis line at (906) 789-1166. Help is available 24 hours a day seven days a week. All services are free and confidential.
