September 26, 2013
Daily Press

A POW-MIA flag-raising ceremony was held at Bay College in Escanaba Wednesday afternoon in honor of all veterans and POW-MIA Day. Members of the Patriot Guard Riders and event participants bow their heads during an opening prayer. Bill Lake, veteran and chairman of the Bay College Board of Trustees, led the ceremony. Above, right, Lake, at right, speaks about a POW-MIA bracelet (seen on his right wrist) that he received from one of his fifth-grade students during the 1970s. Above, left, Tom England, Board of Trustees member and chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee, center, and Nancy Gage, right, senior ride captain for the Patriot Guard, raise the POW-MIA flag.
