HARRIS - Bark River-Harris varsity football coach Brad Wiljanen resigned on Monday, as confirmed by Bark River-Harris Superintendent Jason Lockwood, Wednesday.
"The football coach has resigned and the position has been posted internally. The posting will expire within the next week," Lockwood said in a statement. "We plan to hire an excellent football coach and move forward with the season."
Wiljanen declined comment when reached Tuesday.
Also confirmed by Lockwood on Wednesday, Nick Nolde has been hired as Bark River-Harris Athletic Director effective on August 14 at the school board meeting; Matt Richer resigned as varsity boys basketball coach following the 2012-13 season.
