Evelyn L. Loeffler

COLEMAN, Wis. - Evelyn L. Loeffler, of Coleman, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, July 7, 2013, at Sharpe Care in Oconto Falls, Wis., with her family at her bedside. Born March 3, 1929, she resided in Harris, with her parents, Stanley and Emily (Yetka) Mokszycke. Evelyn graduated from Harris High School, Marinette County Normal Teachers College, and later from UW-Oshkosh with a bachelor's degree in education.

She married Richard Loeffler on Sept. 24, 1949, at St. George Catholic Church in Bark River. The couple later moved to the Coleman area where Evelyn began her teaching career at the Woulf School in 1951 and continued teaching grade school in the Coleman District for 44 years before retiring.

Evelyn was involved in the American Legion Auxiliary Post 280 for many years, receiving a 50 years of service certificate in 2012. She and her husband enjoyed Legion events and attending parades. Evelyn also enjoyed reading, flower gardening, watching the Packers, taking pictures of her family, and trips up north to see the fall colors.

She is survived by a son, Wayne (Donna) Loeffler of Lena; a daughter, Joan Risner (Mike Krajewski) of Green Bay; granddaughter, Jessica Hodkiewicz of Lena and her children: Jason, Justin, Kaitlyn, Kyle, and Tyler; granddaughter, Julie (Ted) Fuller of Oconto and their children: Tayler, Preston, Bryton, and Alex; grandson, Phillip (Danielle) Risner, Jr. of Coleman and their children: Mason, Karson, and Landon; a sister-in-law, Charelene Danhieux; brothers, Michael Myler, Robert (Grace) Myler, Edwin (Molly) Myler, James (Mary Anne) Myler; sisters, Rosemary (Terry) DeLoughary, Julaine Van Enkevort; and many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Timothy Loeffler; mother-in-law, Iris (Bruner) Loeffler; brother, Walter Mokszycke; sister, Maureen Mokszycke; brother-in-law, Bernard Danhieux; brother-in-law, Clifford Van Enkevort; and a great-grandson, Keegan.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Anne Catholic Church, 228 E. Main St., Coleman from 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, until a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Father Robert Karuhn will officiate with burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Coleman. Pallbearers will be Jason and Justin Hodkiewicz, Mason and Phillip Risner Jr.; Ted Fuller, and Tim Danhieux.
