Mc Mahon earns doctoral degree

AUGUSTA, Maine - John Mc Mahon, a 1976 graduate of Escanaba High School, completed a doctoral degree from Western Michigan University in April. The degree is a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, with an emphasis on blindness and low vision.

Mc Mahon is the son of John and the late Carol Mc Mahon of Hyde. He is currently the director of the Maine Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired located in Augusta, Maine.

Hueter is Capital U. honors graduate

MANISTIQUE - Holly M. Hueter graduated summa cum laude from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, on May 4 with a bachelor of arts degree. The daughter of Rev. David and Sandy Hueter, Holly majored in early childhood education and intervention specialist.

She has accepted a one-year volunteer commitment to Youth Encounter, a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to youth ministry.
