Five people were also injured in the accident near St. Ignace Sunday morning. A westbound 2007 Toyota Corolla attempted to pull into a scenic overlook on U.S. 2 at 9:32 a.m. when it collided with a westbound 2008 Chevy Silverado pulling a fifth-wheel camper and a small fishing boat. The truck crossed the eastbound lanes and collided with a tree.

Keller, a passenger in the truck, died from injuries caused by the accident. The driver of the truck refused medical treatment for minor injuries. The four occupants in the car were taken to Mackinac Straits Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
