ESCANABA - "Around the World in 80 Bites," GFWC - Escanaba Woman's Club's fourth international hors d'oeuvre event, is scheduled for Thursday, May 9, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Guests will sample the food of a different nation at each of four houses on the progressive tasting tour.

Authentic Lebanese food will be served at the Lake Shore Drive home of Mara and Mike Manning. Also on Lake Shore Drive, at the home of Susan and Russ Peterson, traditional Swedish fare is on the menu. At the home of Barbara Van Ermen, guests will travel through both place and time for Victorian New England sweets and savories. Just around the corner, at the home of Darolyn and Robert Spannuth, food inspired by the cuisine of Hong Kong will be featured.

At the conclusion of the event, passport tickets that have been stamped at each location will be entered in a drawing for four internationally themed baskets.
