BARK RIVER - Carol Jean McMahon, 85, of 4590 K Road, Bark River, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Feb. 13, after losing her courageous battle with cancer. She also suffered with Macular Degeneration and COPD all of her adult life, but that did not slow her down.

She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. She also enjoyed sitting on her deck overlooking the Ford River with their dog Corky on her lap. On any given Saturday afternoon, she could be found playing poker with her husband and their family. She was known for her banana bread and potato salad and was always willing to supply them for many family functions.

She was born on Jan. 15, 1928, in Escanaba to Charles and Emma (Girard) Perryman. She graduated in 1946 from Escanaba High School. She was honored by being the 5,000th student to cross the stage at graduation.
