ESCANABA - A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery Sunday morning. The robbery occurred at the Admiral gas station, 720 N. Lincoln Rd., Escanaba.

Escanaba Public Safety Officers responded to a call around 7:45 a.m. that a lone, masked man had entered the station brandishing a large hunting knife and demanding money. The clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled on foot.

Using Public Safety's K9 unit, officers were able to track the suspect to a residence on Escanaba's north side. Officers set up a perimeter around the residence before executing a search warrant and searching the home.

According to Public Safety officials, evidence was found in the home that will aid in the investigation.

Three individuals inside the residence were arrested on various charges including armed robbery and lying to a police officer while investigating a serious felony. All three persons are lodged at the Delta County Jail pending formal arraignment.
