Elks Lodge 354 Recognizes Excellence In Scouting

Escanaba Elks Lodge 354 recently honored two new Eagle Scout twin brothers from Gladstone Troop 466 at the United Evangelical Covenant Church. Brothers Cody and Kyle Johnson received their Eagle rank in a double Eagle Court of Honor. Over 75 invited guests filled the church to honor these young men. Elks Youth Activities Chairman, Art Rodgers, at left, along with Trustee John Pickard from Escanaba Lodge presented each of the boys with an American flag along with a certificate of recognition. Pickard spoke of the importance of scouting and the recognition that an Eagle Scout epitomizes the very best ideals of the Boy Scouts and is among the best kind of citizens of the United States. The two young men, are the 96th and 97th Eagles of Troop 466. Cody and Kyle are the sons of Tammy and Greg Johnson of Escanaba.
